
Description
This c.1910/20's Japanese Kutani porcelain divided serving bowl (also known as a chirashi-zara) features a six-section petal form with dense hand-painted florals, iron red and green enamels, and rich gilt detailing, presented in its original black lacquered wooden stand for table or cabinet display. The interior decoration is finely executed with traditional Kutani motifs, while the exterior is glazed in a soft pale blue. The bowl is in very good vintage condition overall, with age-appropriate wear and a single tight hairline crack visible on one curved section that does not detract from stability or presentation; please see all photographs for exact condition. The assembled piece measures approximately 13 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches tall.
