Cal. 351 (.351 Winchester Self-Loading). S# 28709. Bbl. 20". Model 1907 self-loading rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1913. Left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's 3-line mfg. and patent information, followed by "-351 CAL.". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which is polished in-the-white. Lightly sanded and refinished plain wood forearm and pistol grip buttstock with checkered steel buttplate. Toeline of stock is inletted with a sling swivel. Dovetailed blade front sight and dovetailed Marbles V-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the upper and lower assemblies. MAGS: x1 steel 5-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their original blue finish, with the balance having faded to gray and brown patinas, exhibiting scattered patches of light surface oxidation and pitting. Near mirror bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting and a bulge approx. 5/8" from the muzzle, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows some superficial marks from handling and storage, with the forearm exhibiting a crack that stems from the receiver on the left side. (25-6605/MLW). CURIO. $300-400.
