Cal. 351 (.351 Winchester Self-Loading). S# 29168. Bbl. 20". Model 1907 Self-Loading rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1913. Left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's 3-line mfg. and patent information, followed by "-351 CAL.". Sanded and refinished plain wood forearm and pistol grip buttstock with contemporary Remington checkered aluminum buttplate. Dovetailed Marbles natural white beaded blade front sight (bead has mostly chipped off) with dovetailed Redfield U-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the upper and lower assemblies. MAGS: x1 blued steel 5-rd. CONDITION: metal components have been cleaned, retaining some traces of original blue finish, exhibiting a dull gray patina, scattered handling marks, some patches of light to mild pitting and age related discoloration, as well as some striations from prior cleaning. Bore is relatively bright, exhibiting consistent light to mild pitting, while retaining fair rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and impressions, with a series of notable impressions present on the toeline of the buttstock, just behind the pistol grip. (25-6606/MLW). CURIO. $300-400.
