Top of the rnd. bbl. is marked "ORBEA HERMANOS EIBAR", with the S# amrked on the right side of the faceted breech section. Otherwise, this example is virtually devoid of proofs or other identifying markings. Frame and hammer exhibit a case colored finish, with the cyl. and bbl. exhibiting a blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece plain wood grips, featuring a faceted pommel with a lanyard swivel and ring. Dovetailed raised bead front sight with notched rear sight on hammer. All serialized parts are matching the bbl. via the last 3-digits of the S# "296" and include the frame (right side beneath grip panel) and cyl. (rear face), with many small parts matching via the apparent assembly # "88". CONDITION: frame and hammer retain trace to fair amounts of their original case colored finish, exhibiting areas fading to gray patina, with scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation present overall. Cyl. and bbl. retain fair to good amounts of their original blue finish, showing areas of wear fading to gray patina, with scattered spots and patches of mild surface oxidation overall. Bore appears bright, exhibiting a layer of dried grease, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Action does not currently function, with the hammer not locking when pulled rearward. Grips show a few superficial marks and small impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. (01-28964/MLW).
