Description

Standard configuration, 34" quill back blade, "UNITED STATES" and "NP AMES / CUTLER / SPRINGFIELD / 1836" etched on blade. "JM" inspection stamped on quillon & blade. CONDITION: good overall, discernible markings, grip is missing wire wrap, leather chipped, ~80% complete. Scabbard is not Ames & replaced but well fit and appears original to time of use. PROVENANCE: Marcus Porpora lifelong sword collection. (02-26424-11/JS). NON-GUN. $500-700.
