The letter, to Alfred Littleton, reads in part "I am so very sorry for the delay - but during the last concerts it was impossible to do anything. I have accepted Wood's offer to conduct for him on Oct. 17 & January 16.[...] The London Symphony Orchestra have announced the first performance of the symphony under Richter on Dec &. So Wood can have the second (with me) in January as he wishes. I have heard nothing from Eastbourne. I have kept (lost!) the letter enclosed from Novello's re Bournemouth.", three pages, mild-folding mark, 8vo, Plag Gwyn, 14 September 1908, with original mailing envelope.
