The letter, to The Rev. Henry Blagden, on mourning stationery, says "I have been moving about so much of late and I have had, at the same time, so much to attend to, that I am sorry to say, your letter which I now remember receiving, escaped my attention. Otherwise, I should have requested the favour of being excused presiding over the luncheon, assuming of course that it would be under canvas. I should still wish to confine my presence to attendance at divine service but if you succeed in making the arrangement as to the covered building to which you refer, I will do what you wish", four pages, mid-horizontal folding mark, some age-related discolouration, 8vo, Hughenden Manor, 28 September 1875, with original mailing envelope addressed and signed by Disraeli ("D").
