Description

C. 1880–1910. Mortuary or undertaker’s measuring cane with carved handle and bamboo shaft, concealing an extending measuring rod used for coffin sizing. Decorative brass mount at handle. Victorian gadget cane. Good overall with honest age wear and natural patina to bamboo shaft. Measuring rod appears intact. Mechanism extends properly. Structurally sound. Length: 37". Condition: (Excellent). Dimensions: Length: 37".
