Cut signature of legendary athlete Jim Thorpe on a small piece of lined notebook paper, dated "1950" and signed in black steel-tip fountain pen. The cut measures approximately 3 by 3/4 inches and is mounted on a white index card. Thorpe is widely regarded as one of the greatest all-around athletes in history, winning gold medals in both the pentathlon and decathlon at the 1912 Olympic Games.

He later starred in professional football, baseball, and early professional basketball, becoming one of the most celebrated American athletes of the early twentieth century. Signed examples of Thorpe are scarce, particularly dated signatures from the later years of his life. Comes with a full Letter of Authentication from JSA (JSA ZZ92834).
