RARE MONROE MA BANJO CLOCK.

Description

A fine ca. 1825 Massachusetts banjo clock, with a rare thermometer throat panel signed 'M. Monroe', the lower reverse painted tablet depicting the battle between the Constitution and the Gurriere, over a carved and gilt presentation bracket. Clock retains weight, pendulum, and key. 42”H x 11”W.

Condition

Fine state of preservation, some minor repairs, was working when removed from home.
