Description

A ca. 1830 rural New York sideboard, cherry case construction with three doors under an elaborately carved frieze of twisted acanthus. Case flanked with carved columns of acanthus, topped by a projecting carved capital imitating ostrich feathers and lion's paw carved feet. Top surrounded by a scrolled wooden gallery. 49”H x 61”W x 26”D.

Veneer losses, heavy wear, backslash with fracture near screw attachment.
