This set of eight earthenware items is manufactured by Franciscan in the Desert Rose pattern. The collection consists of a large round lidded tureen, a gravy boat with an oval underplate, a lidded sugar bowl, a cream pitcher, and four small shallow bowls. The pieces feature hand-painted pink wild roses with yellow centers, green leaves, and brown thorny stems on a cream-colored ground. The handles and finials are relief-molded to resemble textured woody branches and rosebuds. The underside of the pieces displays a brown circular stamp with the text Interpace, Franciscan Earthenware, and Made in U.S.A.
