Nature-printed Bradbury Seaweed, handcrafted frame, antique print c. 1859

Offered are three framed seaweed prints by Henry Bradbury. The print is from Bradbury's 1859 edition of British Seaweed and is a fine example of a nature print, a process popularized and perfected by him in which the actual flora was used to create a type of mold used for printing.

The print is framed under a thick 8-ply conservation grade mat and glazed with UV protective glass to prevent fading. Â

The frames are custom crafted here in our shop from ambrosia maple with walnut splines and an oil finish.
