The Peterson 11 Pattern refers to a specific classification of 19th-century American militia and NCO swords detailed in Harold L. Peterson's authoritative reference book, The American Sword 1775-1945. These antebellum-era swords were heavily utilized by state militias and saw widespread service during the American Civil War.
