This hexagonal celadon jar is a fine artwork of Qing Dynasty Longquan Kiln porcelain. It has neat hexagonal outline with full shoulders, bulging belly and tapered lower part, supported by standard hexagonal ring feet, featuring dignified upright shape and grand momentum. It is entirely covered with mild even elegant celadon glaze presenting typical pale green texture of Longquan ware, with thick glossy glaze surface and soft luster embodying antique grace. The jar is fully decorated with multi-layered patterns. The shoulder is carved with vivid cloud and dragon patterns surrounded by auspicious clouds. The reserved panels on the belly are respectively decorated with eight treasures patterns and twin dragons playing with pearls, featuring powerful lifelike dragons and neat auspicious ornaments. String patterns and meander patterns are arranged near the foot with distinct layers and full layout. It boasts exquisite craftsmanship, distinct three-dimensional decorations and subtle embossed texture under glaze, fully showing superb porcelain making skills of the Qing Dynasty. The hexagonal base has a central round hole left by later transformation for display use such as lamp base or flower holder. The body is closely combined with glaze with natural rust-red hue conforming to the base features of Qing Dynasty porcelain. With regular shape, pure glaze color and delicate decorations, it is a representative masterpiece of Qing Dynasty Longquan porcelain with high artistic, collection and historical research value.
