Description
Barbara Woodward was born in Wakefield, England, according to a file at Artists in Canada web site, in 1887, and immigrated to Canada in 1936.
She exhibited with the Island Arts and Crafts Society in 1940.
She exhibited in the 1946 and 1947 B.C. Artists exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Entry forms noted that she was living in Victoria at the time.
She had a solo exhibition of her work at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1947. The exhibition list noted that she was staying at the Georgia Hotel.
She died in Victoria in 1976 at the age of 89, according to B.C. Vital Statistics On-line.
