Fine condition.
STS-41B launched aboard Space Shuttle Challenger on February 3, 1984, and is remembered as one of the most historically important missions of the early Shuttle era. Commanded by Vance Brand with Robert Gibson serving as pilot, the mission featured astronauts Bruce McCandless II and Robert Stewart conducting the first untethered spacewalks using the Manned Maneuvering Unit, allowing astronauts to freely maneuver in space without a physical connection to the Shuttle. Mission specialist Ronald McNair, later lost in the Challenger disaster of January 28, 1986, played a major role in the mission’s scientific operations and remains one of the most remembered astronauts of the Shuttle program. McNair was a physicist and one of NASA’s pioneering African American astronauts, whose legacy continues to inspire generations in science and space exploration.
