Officer M. “Nick” McDonald autographed First Day Cover featuring the patriotic “Ask Not!” Uncle Sam cachet and 1994 Old Glory stamp, postmarked December 13, 1994, in Washington, D.C. McDonald has boldly inscribed, “Officer M. ‘Nick’ McDonald – Captor of Oswald – 11-22-63.”

Officer M. “Nick” McDonald (1932–2022) was a Dallas police officer best known for apprehending Lee Harvey Oswald, the assassin of President John F. Kennedy, inside the Texas Theatre on November 22, 1963. His courageous actions marked one of the pivotal moments in the immediate aftermath of the assassination.
