This statue is very likely of Chinese make and is signed on the underside in seal script, though it could be Japanese, we aren't certain. The bronze is very well cast and depicts the deity with beatific expression and hands in a dhyana mudra supporting a water jar, seated on a lotus. The quality is exceptional and the casting is very detailed down to the folds of her clothing and the texture of her hair. This piece is in excellent condition. The patina is in great shape. There are no breaks and no repairs. The statue stands about 7 1/8 inches tall and measures about 4 1/8 inches wide.
