Description
9.25 inches tall. 2 distinctive lines that go around the jar. 1 a inch below the rim and another 3.5 inches below the rim. On the bottom i can make out stamping of a P. 1 P stamp at 3 o'clock and another at 9 o'clock. The 9 o'clock stamping might have a E stamping above it. Hard to tell exactly. Someone long time ago had it painted gold as there is gold paint all over. Numerous rim chips top and bottom. Really nice ovoid shape to it. Provenance: Acquired from a single owner private estate collection originating in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The collection was carefully stored in Slatington, Pennsylvania for approximately five years prior to being consigned to the auction house. The consignor noted that the collection had long-standing ties to the Gettysburg region, reflecting a deep appreciation for historical preservation and Americana. This fresh-to-market estate offering presents an exceptional opportunity for collectors, as the items have remained largely untouched in storage for several years before entering the auction market.
