Rare carved frame with eagle and Masonic elements

Description

Found in upstate New York, this walnut frame has the entire surface carved. A spread winged eagle with flags, a Masonic device and a vine on each side with flowers. With stipple carving covering the background. A fantastic piece of folk art. Original glass. A flake on the bottom point. 11 1/2" wide, 13 " long.
