Converted pocket watch case locket opening to two compartments and containing three period ambrotype photographs, likely depicting family members, possibly a father, grandmother, and daughter, reflecting memento mori mourning jewelry traditions. The exterior is decorated with an engraved rural cityscape, possibly European in character, with the reverse featuring a banner cartouche with scrollwork and engraved name. Executed in silver tone metal with rose gold tone accents to the frame. Measures approx. 1 1/2" in diameter with approx. 1/4" drop. In good condition with minimal wear and one absent photograph.
