A custom-mounted bronze equestrian trophy presented for the 20th Running of the NEKCOBA Futurity at Eureka Downs in 1985. The trophy features a detailed sculpture of a jockey celebrating atop a racehorse while a trainer or handler stands nearby holding the lead. The entire bronze sculpture is secured onto a tiered wooden base with an engraved brass plaque documenting the event. Eureka Downs, located in Eureka, Kansas, was a historic horse racing track with a long history of hosting Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred racing before its closure. 16.5” tall x wood base 17” wide. It weighs 13 pounds, it’s a very large trophy, definitely a statement piece. Horse is a little loose on the base, it needs tightened up a bit. Pick up only , in St. Joseph Mo.
