One wheel has been replaced. This is an antique manual coffee mill manufactured by the Enterprise Manufacturing Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The unit is a No. 7 model, characterized by its large double-wheel design featuring two heavy cast iron flywheels. The primary structure includes a top-mounted hopper, a central grinding housing, and a base containing a wooden collection drawer with a turned wooden knob. The entire assembly is secured to a thick, shaped wooden mounting base. The black cast iron base is embossed with the inscription ENTERPRISE MFG CO PHILA PA U.S.A. The red-painted housing features the embossed patent date PAT. JULY 12. 70 and the numerals 2272 near the bottom of the casting. A small metal plate inside the interior of the hopper is marked No 7. Both flywheel rims are embossed with the maker name ENTERPRISE. One wheel is equipped with a manual crank fitted with a turned wooden handle. The grinder is finished in a traditional red and black color scheme with traces of gold-toned decorative decals or painted accents on the main housing. One wheel has been replaced.?
