This Belgian-manufactured area rug was produced for JCPenney and features a classic Ming style pattern. The rug is machine-made with a 100% virgin wool pile. The design consists of a central floral-motif medallion on an ivory field, surrounded by four corner motifs and four additional floral sprays. The border is composed of multiple bands, including an inner Greek key or meander pattern and a primary navy blue band decorated with scrolling floral motifs. The rug is finished with a knotted white fringe at each end. Two labels are affixed to the reverse side: one is a partial Woolmark Pure New Wool label and the larger manufacturer label identifies the item as Ref. No. 1101, Pattern MING 149, in Ivory.
