A. Belcari Capodimonte Style Eagle Sculpture

Description

This Italian sculpture depicts an eagle with outspread wings in a landing or takeoff posture, perched atop a rocky base. Designed by artist A. Belcari, the piece is crafted from a matte white composition material and is mounted on a tiered, dark-finished wooden plinth. The artist's signature, A. Belcari, is incised into the front of the rocky formation. The reverse side of the base features a blue-ink stamp of a crowned N, a mark associated with the Capodimonte style. There is also a faint rectangular recessed mark on the back of the base.
