Lourdes Valdés is a Mexican photographer and visual artist, born in Mexico City in 1966. She began her formal studies in 1986 at the Casa de las Imágenes in Mexico City and furthered her education at the Parsons School of Design in New York City. Much of her work centers on the contemporary Mexican landscape, with a strong emphasis on environmental concerns, especially endangered or threatened plant species and climate change.

Valdés has exhibited her work internationally, showcasing her paintings in museums, galleries, art fairs and public spaces worldwide in Miami, New York, Dubai, Venezia and Monterrey Mexico among others.
