Description
This partial silver-plated flatware service is in the Heritage pattern, produced by 1847 Rogers Bros, a brand of International Silver. Introduced in 1953, the pattern features a mid-century design with scrolled edges and a floral-motif cartouche at the terminal of the handles. The reverse of the handles is stamped with 1847 ROGERS BROS inside a hexagonal cartouche, followed by the letters I S inside individual squares. The 32 piece collection includes: 6 dinner knives; 6 dinner forks; 6 salad forks; 10 teaspoons; and 4 place spoons. No monograms are present. The set is housed in a black hardshell storage case with a red and grey felt-lined interior. Dinner knives: 9 1/8 inches in length Storage case: 14 3/4 inches x 3 1/2 inches. The set is in used, estate condition. Pieces exhibit heavy surface tarnish and would benefit from cleaning. There is visible surface scratching and wear consistent with age and regular use. The storage case shows external scuffing, edge wear, and signs of age.
