Description
This pair of parian porcelain lidded egg boxes was manufactured by Belleek Pottery in Ireland. Each circular box features a textured basketweave pattern on the lower body and the top of the lid, decorated with hand-painted green shamrocks. One box is topped with a figural bunny finial featuring pink interior ears and a yellow bow around its neck. The second box features a figural chick finial also adorned with a yellow bow. The bunny box base bears a green Belleek tenth mark, used between 1993 and 2001, consisting of a central tower flanked by a wolf and a harp above a banner reading Belleek with Est. 1857 below. It also retains a retail sticker labeled Bunny Egg Box 2826. The chick box base displays a Millennium-specific mark with a banner reading Belleek 2000 above a smaller banner reading Ireland, along with a hand-painted green mark resembling the letter C. Height: Approximately 2 inches. Both pieces are in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. There is very minor shelf wear to the unglazed foot rims.
