A finely cast bronze Kuduo vessel from the Asante (Ashanti) peoples of Ghana, probably late 19th - Early 20th century. The lidded container features intricate relief casting, with a prominent zoomorphic figure adorning the lid. Traditionally used to hold gold dust, valuables, or ritual offerings, Kuduo vessels were associated with prestige and spiritual significance in Asante society. Rich patina throughout.
