A fine group lot of two late 19th century Ashanti (Asante) gold dust containers, crafted in brass and richly adorned with traditional embossed checkering and geometric patterns throughout. Each vessel reflects the refined metalworking tradition of the Ashanti people of Ghana, historically used to store and measure gold dust - the currency of the region. Both containers exhibit warm patination and age-appropriate wear, adding to their historical charm. Size 4 3/4" H, 4 5/8" W, Weight 292 g
