Description
a wonderful antique South Staffordshire enameled tea caddy. The tea caddy is beautifully enameled with a different scene of countryside scenes of a boy tending his cows, sheep, and goat. The scenes are framed with elegant gold scrolls on a white background. Originally the tea caddy would have had a white enameled cap, but this is no longer present. A sterling silver lid was made to take the place of the original. It was clearly made for this piece as it is a perfect fit. The tea caddy was made in England around 1770. It was definitely made in the 18th century. The tea caddy measures 2 1/2 inches by 3 1/4 inches and is 4 inches tall.
