Description
This exquisite collection features a large floral beaded yoke, a double-sided medicine-style bag, and a unique beaded frame housing a period tintype. The yoke is masterfully executed on black velvet with vibrant, multi-colored glass seed beads in a traditional Great Lakes or Woodland floral pattern, showing a sophisticated "contour" stitch. The medicine bag displays a striking geometric star motif on one side and abstract "horned" or celestial symbols on the reverse, while the beaded frame protects a rare tintype of two men in winter frontier attire. Overall, the set shows age-appropriate wear including some fraying to the velvet edges, minor bead loss, and light fading to the fabric backings; the tintype remains clear with some surface oxidation typical of the mid-to-late 19th century. Yoke: H 16.5", W 13". Bag: H 6", W 4.5". Frame: H 5", W 4". Tintype: H 3.5", W 2.5". Please see photos for condition.
