Cast bronze entry knob featuring a stag at rest in the forest, made by Corbin for the CT State Capitol c. 1878...along with the aoriginal door plate, 7.5" x 2" which has a repair on the reverse and a small clip on the right side...this is one of two knob designs used on the building, the other being Lot 116...the Stag knob is an all-time favorite of collectors and rarely comes to market and the plate is even more scarce...this example in excellent condition...
