COPY WITH AUTOGRAPH DEDICATION BY JEAN PIAUBERT to Milena Milani, Italian writer and artist connected to the Spatialist environment, dated 'Tokyo 10 October 1966' testimony to a meeting during the artist's trip to Japan. Piaubert (1900-2002), central figure of Parisian lyrical abstraction, was among the founders of the Salon des Realites Nouvelles. The recipient Milena Milani (1917-2013) was companion of Carlo Cardazzo and protagonist of the Venetian and Milanese artistic scene. Association of considerable historical artistic interest documenting the relationships between French and Italian post war avant garde.
Condition
Cover with slight wear to corners and spine, slight yellowing of paper, minimal foxing visible on title page. Binding solid, pages clean. Autograph dedication by artist Jean Piaubert dated Tokyo 10 October 1966.
