Important critical monograph dedicated to the Venetian master of Italian Informalism, written by Lionello Venturi, a cardinal figure in twentieth-century art criticism and promoter of the group of Eight Italian painters. Accompanied by an extract from the journal Commentari (Year VII, No. 1, January-March 1953), early testimony of critical interest in Vedova during the years of his international affirmation. Copy in good general condition with normal patina of use. Significant document for the history of Italian art criticism in the post-war period.
Condition
Cover with slight wear to edges and light uniform discoloration typical of 1950s paper. Spine intact. Interior presumably in good condition. Also present is an extract from the journal Commentari (Year VII, No. 1, January-March 1953) relating to the same artist.
