The three-dimensional polymorphic sculpture numbered 149 from an edition of 180 prints is sculpted from a silk-screened sheet of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) folded into clean triangular ridges, forcing the composition to split and shift as the viewer steps past. The work is signed by the artist in ink below the image.
Overall framed size measures 22 x 22 x 3 inches.
Provenance: The estate of John Adair Jr. (1942-2025), founder and proprietor of Kurofune Antiques in Tokyo (est. 1978), a world-renowned destination for Japanese basketry, prints and furniture featured in The New York Times, The New Yorker, and The Wall Street Journal.
