Grobel writes, "Roddy McDowall, it seems, knew everybody in Hollywood, and took their photos, putting out 4 coffee-table books. I got to know him when I was working on The Hustons and was told that he had videotapes of most of Walter Huston?s films. He was very generous, allowing me to see them, and had good stories about many of the people I wrote about. He signed all four books, and there are signatures of many people who are in the last three volumes. "
