Fridays | Cast and Crew Jackets

Description

Two cast and crew jackets from the short-lived sketch series Fridays (ABC, 1980 - 1982). Both jackets are blue and red satin with the show's title sewn on the verso. One of the jackets belonged to Fridays cast member, Melanie Chartoff, and her jacket has her name on the proper left chest. No tag or size present.

The other jacket was one that Melanie had made for her father, Hal, because he was such a fan of the show and proud of his daughter's work on television. This jacket has "Hal" on the proper left chest. It also contains a Bowler's Shirt and Uniform tag, size L.

Fridays was intended to be ABC's rival to Saturday Night Live (NBC, 1975 - Present), and featured a cast that also included Larry David, Michael Richards, and Rich Little.
