Sambandar is one of the Saivite child saints from Tamil Nadu. He is one of the four most important Nayanmars who started the Bhakti movement in Tamil Nadu.
The estimated age of the lost-wax casting is the 19th century.

Condition

The legs of Sambandar were broken at some point. The vigraha rests on a support frame. His fingers on his extended hand are somehow bent.
