Description
An antique architectural wall clock produced by Seth Thomas. The clock features a rectangular wooden case with a prominent molded overhanging crown. The front facade is flanked by two dark, tapered columns accented with gold-painted capitals and bases, resting on carved ogee-style bracket feet. The central hinged door features a two-tier glass layout: a top clear viewing panel revealing a light-colored dial with black Roman numerals and an inner ring, and a lower rectangular mirror panel. Beneath the main door, a circular brass-rimmed aperture allows a view of the pendulum sweep. The clock remains in good antique cosmetic condition with minor wear consistent with age. The wooden casing shows a rich grain with light surface scuffs, small nicks, and minor finish wear along the sharp edges. The clock face displays noticeable age-related crazing and fine hairline cracking across the dial surface. Additionally, the gold accents on the columns retain good color . Working at the time of cataloging. Measures 26"H x 13"W x 6"D.
