Description: American Classical carved mahogany cabinet-form workstand, circa 1830-1845. The rectangular top has a bold carved rope-twist border above a figured mahogany drawer flanked by carved floral panels. A paneled cupboard door is framed by elaborately carved columns with Ionic capitals, spiral foliate decoration, and conforming paw feet. Additional rope carving follows the lower front and side edges. The interior is fitted with a single shelf, and the drawer retains brass bail pulls.

Retains an old refinished surface with scattered scratches, abrasions, stains, finish variation, and edge wear. Minor veneer splitting, lifting, shrinkage, and small losses are present. Rear boards exhibit scratches and age-related separation, with a visible split near the lower right corner. Scattered joint movement. Hardware appears period.
