Description: An English William IV longcase clock with an arched painted dial depicting the Last Supper above a Roman-numeral chapter ring surrounded by rural landscapes and architectural scenes. Subsidiary seconds and calendar registers accompany two winding apertures and ornate hands. The mahogany case has a scroll pediment centered by a carved plume, turned hood columns, figured veneers, carved and molded ornament, a paneled trunk door, and a raised octagonal panel within the plinth base. Two weights and a pendulum are present.

Case retains an old surface with scratches, abrasions, finish wear, fading, veneer cracks, shrinkage separations, small losses, and old repairs. Painted dial has extensive active-looking flaking and substantial loss that obscures much of the chapter ring, subsidiary registers, painted decoration, and any maker inscription. Remaining paint has craquelure, staining, discoloration, and lifting. Glass has scratches and clouding. Two weights and a pendulum included as shown. Movement, strike, calendar, timekeeping accuracy, dial stability, and compatibility of the movement, dial, and case have not been independently examined or guaranteed.
