Description: American late-Victorian Eastlake walnut sofa. The architectural triple back has a raised central panel flanked by two arched upholstered panels, each surmounted by carved and pierced crests. Incised geometric ornament, ebonized linear details, and applied floral paterae decorate the frame. Shaped open arms flank the broad upholstered seat, raised on turned front legs fitted with casters. Upholstered in later red and gold patterned damask fabric.

Walnut frame exhibits scattered scratches, abrasions, edge wear, finish variation, and minor separations consistent with age. Ebonized and incised decoration has localized rubbing and finish loss. Later upholstery has light surface wear, minor pulls, wrinkles, and scattered discoloration. Casters have oxidation and wear.
