202. Wright, Frank Lloyd . Autograph Letter Signed "F. LL W" to Edgar Tafel discussing designs for Herbert and Katherine Jacobs and Bernard Schwartz and projects at Taliesin. 8vo, 2-3/4 pages (with original sketch) on 2 sheets of Santa Fe railroad stationary; light wear, creased at folds.Tafel was Wright's former apprentice and worked with Wright on such important designs as Fallingwater, the Johnson Wax Building, and several "Usonian" houses.

"Dear Edgar -Concentrate on getting the closet system perfected.Get light installed there right away. No sense in leaving it out any longer.Call - Carey roofing (Anderson). Bring along to Arizona a quantity of the 'mastic' and take some to Taliesin with Ben's permission.Get Groves going on Jacob's house. Have Billy Weston check up every so often on leaks that may develop at Hillside and Taliesin.See if Ed runs tractor OK, And have him clean out all dead trees below the house, up the ravine below Porters on the Hill at Midway and the Elms sprouting around the buildings at Hillside. Work them up into wood for fire places.Detail the folding cinema screen thus; walnut box for rolling screen (full width) (Goss hinges so edges come tight).[sketch]Stick close to job and help button things up.Give Schwarz [sic] what you can and try your hand on Lawton. Also the Lake Shore prospect at Racine - Keep me posted right along."
