An uncommon Luxardo decanter of Italian make, shaped as a two-handled amphora on a fluted column base and glazed in mottled ochre and stone. The body is molded with a band of Egyptian figures picked out in black, white, and gilt, no small feat of the mold-maker's art. Stands approximately 14 inches, retaining its shoulder labels for Ardo Italian cherry wine and its corded hangtag. Housed in the original Luxardo carton, stained and worn.
