Description
This vintage mid-20th century Morse code practice key set was distributed by R.C.A. Institutes Inc. of New York, N.Y., featuring a Signal Electric Mfg. Co. model R-68 practice buzzer and telegraph key mounted to a dark wooden base. Constructed from polished wood, cast iron, brass binding posts, nickel-plated key hardware, and copper coil wiring, this set represents early wireless communications instruction equipment. The item exhibits expected age-related wear, including surface oxidation on brass and nickel fittings, minor scuffs along the mahogany-finish wooden base, paint flaking on the removable textured buzzer cap, and partial paper loss to the underside wiring schematic. H 2.25", W 7", D 4.5". Please see photos for condition.
