A vintage two-piece glazed earthenware cookie jar modeled in the form of a seated monk. The interior of the vessel has a clear glaze finish. The underside of the base reveals an unglazed brown clay body and bears no maker's marks, stamps, or labels.

The cookie jar is in good vintage condition. Significant fine crazing is visible throughout the glaze, most notably on the monk's face and the interior surfaces, where dark staining is present within the crazing lines. Minor glaze wear and small areas of paint loss are visible on the hands and along the lower edge of the base rim. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
