Omar Bradley (1893-1981) American general who lead American soldiers through some of the bloodiest fighting of WWII, defeating Germans in Africa, invasion of Sicily, and as commander of the U.S. First Army at the invasion at Normandy. Inscribed and signed black-and-white photograph of Omar Bradley in uniform, signed in black in: 'To Stephen W. Bumble With best wishes. Omar Bradley.' Approximate size 8 x 10 inches, set into a simple wood frame. Very good. From the estate of Stephen W. Bumball (1919-2005), a WWII First Lieutenant and US Army intelligence officer in the 103rd Infantry Division (Cactus Division), 307th CIC Detachment, and interrogator in the 970th CIC Det. He was a noted collector of military autographs and relics. This auction includes a selection of autographs and relics from his personal collection.
