Paul W. Tibbets (1915-2007), American Bomber Pilot. Tibbets was a pilot who flew the B-29 Superfortress, Enola Gay, when it dropped Little Boy, the first of two atomic bombs ever used in warfare. Copy of 'Hiroshima,' by John Hersey, First Edition printing, 1946. Hardcover book, 118 pages, signed on the cover page by Tibbets. Reads: 'For Glenn Trimmer, With best regards, even though I am not a Hersey fan. Paul W. Tibbets 5-24-90.' Also includes the publisher's promotional flyer and a newspaper clipping from the day Paul Tibbets passed away. From the personal collection of Art Beltrone.
